The Urban Market


New this year, The Urban Market begins it's first annual season.   Starting May 3rd, The Urban Market runs every Saturday until September in the Castle & Park's parking lot.  Vendor goods range from antiques, décor, furniture, new and handmade product and service based sales. 

Participating vendors are from across Simcoe Country and retail an eclectic mix of items appealing to all ages. 

If you prefer to buy local, join the fun this summer by bringing your family, friends and pets to see the amazing products conveniently available in historical downtown Barrie.

During The Urban Market, parking is FREE at The Barrie Public Library for vendor and customer use. We request all vendors and customers DO NOT PARK ON DRURY LANE anytime during market hours!  Handicap and elderly may park at the rear of 12 Sophia Street East in available spaces.


Vendor Parking - Setup/Dismantling

EARLY SETUP:  Setup can begin at 6 am within the Castle & Park parking lot. Vehicles can park in the back loading lot or park inside market area until 7 AM SHARP when market area is closed to vehicle access.  Be respectful of your neighbours as you may be parked in a rental space! 

BACK LOADING LOT: From 7AM TO 8AM the back loading lot will remain available to vendors.  AT 8 AM vendors must move vehicles to the Barrie Public Library.

END OF DAY:  Vendors can begin dismantling booths at 3pm (no earlier) or stay till 5!  At 3pm vendors can park in the back loading lot for loading. Vendor vehicles may be permitted into market area if approved by market manager.
